The Chelmsford Cultural Council is asking the local community to help us set our funding priorities, learn about your needs, interests, and gather feedback that will help us better serve members of the Chelmsford community. Your feedback is always welcomed. - Friendly Reminders: January is Photography Contest Submission Month for 2012 Winterfest. Entries must be received between Jan 9th and Jan 27st ( Extended ). Only two entries per person. Click here to access the photo contest application Each year the Massachusetts Cultural Council allots funds to local Cultural Councils for the Local Cultural Council (LCC) grant program to provide arts offerings to residents of all ages – like visual arts workshops, musical programs, storytelling and arts and crafts. LCC grant applications are due by October 15; the application is available on the Council’s website. The Chelmsford Cultural Council is looking for new members. You are welcomed to join us at the meetings, talk about your interests, and learn about our involvement in the Chelmsford community. For the current form, please click here: Things to remember - Are you getting started on your grant applications for FY 2013? - Grant applications are due a few days before our October meeting. - Grant Voting meetings are normally held towards the beginning/middle of November. - Don't forget to submit the photocontest application? Check the application for deadlines. - Are you ready for the volunteer fair? We'll be there. Dates will be posted in the near future. - Have you submitted an invoice? - You are welcomed to submit a reimbursement request form once you have received notification by the council, that you have been awarded a grant. Award letters will begin to be e-mailed/mailed no later than January 17th, per the guidelines set forth by the MCC. - When you submit a reimbursement request, please include supporting documents ( Invoice, Brochures ) . Download the Reimbursement Request Form Download the LCC Grant Application Download the Pass Grant Application - The Chelmsford Cultural Council with the support of the Chelmsford Friends of the Library recently released an illustrated edition of “Chelmsford,” a poem of the history of Chelmsford by local writer Tom Ryan. This booklet includes beautiful color illustrations by professional artists and students from Chelmsford ’s 6th and 7th grade art classes. It is available now at the town manager’s office. Grant Recipients - Useful LinksThe Chelmsford Cultural Council has a web based application available. The web based app will install an icon on your mobile device's home screen, enabling you to access the web app. For now, it only has Facebook and Mass Cultural Council news feeds. We are in the process of publishing this free app ( no ads ) to app stores like apple, android, nokia, and other mobile providers as time moves on.
